Henry A. Murray: Personology      Personology is the study of individuals. It is utilized to decipher and sort out the lives of people. The focal thoughts of the science must be to â€Å"understanding of what we mean by the idea â€Å"person,† and for advancement of strategies for understanding the lives of people as the â€Å"long unit for psychology†Ã¢â‚¬  (Barresi and Juckes 1988 pg 1). It is essential to take accounts when considering personology from first individual point of view rather than a third individual viewpoint. Henry A. Murray accepted that character brain science needed to manage the existence course of individual and thought of the word â€Å"personology† (Barresi and Juckes 1988). He built up the expression since he felt that character brain research was a â€Å"unwieldy† expression. Personology implies the investigation of â€Å"single, complex, led lives after some time, from a wide range of angles† (â€Å"Psychobiography: Personality†). Henry A. Murray was conceived in New York City in 1893 to a well off family with and more seasoned sister and more youthful sibling. During his youth he went in Europe, spent summers in Long Island, and went to New England Prep school. Murray set off for college at Harvard University. He studied History however he was a helpless understudy. Despite the fact that he was a helpless understudy he took an interest in Athletics which incorporate football, paddling, and boxing. Murray experienced being cross-looked at and having a stammer so he utilized games to make up for it. Murray went to Columbia College and got M. A. in Biology at 26 years old. In 1919 he was number one in his group. He turned into an instructor of physiology at Harvard University. He did a multi year temporary position at the New York Presbyterian Hospital doing Embriology with chicken eggs. In 1927 at 33 years old he got his Ph. D in Biochemistry from Cambridge. In 1923 Murray read youthful and was first acquainted with brain science. He was exhausted with his investigation of eggs and started to investigate character. During that time at Cambridge Murray spent met and went through three weeks with Jung, and was even dissected by Jung. Murray was dazzled by Jung’s knowledge. In 1927 Murray turned into the Assistant Director of the Harvard Psychological Clinic.
